Practice Test for the ASTB

The Aviation Selection Test Battery (ASTB) is administered by the Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard to help determine suitability for aviation officer candidates. The Navy and Coast Guard also use portions of the ASTB to select candidates for their Officer Candidate School (OCS) programs. Applicants who do not wish to be considered for pilot training may choose to take only the Officer Aptitude Rating (OAR) portion of the exam, which includes the Math Skills, Reading Skills and Mechanical Comprehension subtests. The ASTB takes approximately 2 ½ hours and consists of six subtests.
